During this unprecedented time, BROOKLYN ARTS FOR KIDS (BAK) is inspired to manifest new ways to do what we always do: empower children, have fun and build community.

BAK will embark on its twelfth summer of making art and play all day, from July 5 – 30, 2021.

Kids will work with teaching artists Belinda Blum and Eric “Wally” Wallach who provide a supportive path of explorations in drawing, sculpture, collage, painting, voice, dance, writing and performance.

We know that during this difficult time personal connection is of great value. We will maintain all health and safety protocols given by the CDC, New York City and New York State. This includes wearing masks when possible, physical distancing, frequent hand washing and sanitizing.

Every day will be divided between visual arts and performing arts. We will conduct our program outside as much as possible.  When indoors we will maintain a clean environment and safe physical distance between each other.

We will operate in a way that will still provide a positive and meaningful experience for the kids this summer.

LOCATION:  HOOTENANNY ART HOUSE 428 15th Street, between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park.  Subway: F / G train to 15th Street
