BROOKLYN ARTS FOR KIDS (BAK) is grateful to manifest new ways to empower children, have fun and build community. BAK will embark on its fifteenth summer of making art and play all day, from July 8th to the 26th. Join us for one, two or all three weeks. For ages 7 and up!
Kids work with teaching artists who provide a supportive path of explorations in drawing, sculpture, collage, painting, voice, dance, writing and performance. Our program is conducted primarily in Prospect Park. In the event of excessive heat or rain we will be indoors. For the third year now we are grateful to share the Park Slope Jewish Center on Eighth Avenue and Fourteenth Street as our home base.
A new Leaders-in-Training program for young artists 12 to 15 years old is available for those who want to make art and lead and assist others in making their work too.
Here’s L.I.T. composer Luce F.’s lyrics for our new Brooklyn Arts for Kids song: Brooklyn Arts for Kids JFF JFF Making new best friends, it’s the best, it’s the best. Spend a week here, it feels like you’ve known us for a year. Doesn’t matter who you are, know that you’re always welcome here at Brooklyn Arts for Kids … 🙂 Program details are subject to change. The only thing certain is that we’ll have too much fun.CLICK here for a sample of BAK Daily Schedule
